The zNose 4300 Ultra-Fast Gas Chromatograph
Any chemical, vapour, or toxin – analysed in seconds to the part per trillion (ppt) sensitivity. Welcome to the zNose – a real-time gas analyser designed to identify any organic vapour, toxin or compound in under ten seconds.
- First of its kind – the zNose is the first gas chromatograph based on Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology
- Reduces hazard – the zNose detects compounds without needing to touch the potentially hazardous object
- All encompassing – recognises volatile organic compounds (VOCs) within the C4-C25 range, to picogram (ppt) levels
- Selective – hundreds of different chemical and biological elements can be individually identified singularly and simultaneously from highly complex vapour mixtures - a comprehensive and constantly updated library is included with the zNose MicroSense software

The zNose is currently being used around the globe by a wide variety of professionals and specialists; including environmental agencies, research life scientists and security forces ( from law enforcement to national land forces). The zNose is used to identify potential explosive, chemical and biological threats and solutions.
We currently offer three models of the zNose:
- Model 4200 & 4300 Portable zNose – require portability? Models 4200 and 4300 provide you with the same high level of vapour analysis in a portable format. The 4300 offers the unique long-life battery pack and Buetooth for enhanced mobility.
- Model 7100 Benchtop – ideal for the laboratory, this model is a bench- top unit that can help with quality control and other chemical analysis.
